CHARLES CAMPISI

Between 1973 and 2014, he worked in various units of the New York Police Department in investigations, operations, and audits and served as senior manager for the Seventeen years in the New York Police Department’s Internal Investigations Branch.

He continues his undergraduate studies in Psychology, a master’s degree in Justice and Criminal Sciences and a PhD in Justice and Criminal Sciences at New York City University, John Jay College.

Charles CAMPISI, who served as the top police chief in the New York Police, where the world’s largest internal investigations unit is located in terms of organization size, is still continuing his work in this area as a member of the INTERPOL Anti-Corruption Board, International Police Internal Advisory Committee.

Having achieved great innovations in its field, Champisi has managed to reduce the rate of abuse within the New York Police Department by up to 30% with new methods and policies that it has implemented in less than 61%. This success made him elected as a member of the INTERPOL Anti-Corruption Board. With the support and assistance of the US government, he trained teams to take part in internal investigative units in many countries of the world.

Having published articles under many titles such as internal investigations, anti-corruption, ethical standards, investigation, taking statements, crime and punishment, Champisi has given conferences in many countries of the world, especially in Indonesia, Armenia, Poland, Canada, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Hungary, still provides experience-based training and consultancy services in these areas.
